Congratulations to Junior National Young Leaders
Manzano Mesa Elementary School, home of the Meerkats, is requesting your support towards a very important event. Five students (Alexis Candelaria, Connor Frost, Emily Ganley, Daniela Ramos, and Gregg Whitford) have been selected to represent our school, city, and state in Washington D.C. this summer at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC). Each student was chosen because of their scholastic merit and strong character. As Junior National Scholars, the five students will be recognized as leaders in their schools and community. Attached you will find the agenda for the six day conference and additional information about the conference can be obtained at www.cylc.org/JrNYLC.
We would be honored to have you contribute and support these students. You could help by making a tax-deductible donation in support of this opportunity - a monetary donation or a donation of resources (raffle items, food products to use at their fundraisers, gift cards, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made payable to Manzano Mesa PTA with a memo stating the donation is for the fifth grade student leadership program.

MMES School Hours:
8:53 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. - M, T, Th and F
8:53 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Wednesdays
Students should not arrive at school before 8:45 a.m. unless eating breakfast.

If APS announces a 2-hour delay, arrive at school at 10:45 am
|
Cafeteria Hours
Breakfast served 8:30 am-8:50 am
Lunch served 11:00 am-12:20 pm except Wednesdays, 10:45 am-noon
Cafeteria Manager is available 7-8:30 am, 9-11 am, or 12:30-2:00 pm

Parking Lot Safety
Please remember that the parking lot speed limit is 5 MPH. Please drive slowly and watch for students and their siblings while driving in the parking lot. Please walk in the cross walks. Please do not park in the car pool lanes.

New Parent/Family Room in P-8 !!
Have you visited our new parent room located in P-8? It is open during the school day. Brenda Garcia, our new APS Family & Community Specialist, will be in the Parent/Family Room on Thursdays and Fridays from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. Please stop by and welcome Brenda to our school. There are fiction, nonfiction, Spanish, English, adult, and childrens books that you can check out and return at your convenience. This is a great place to meet other parents, find out what is going on around school, or just relax when you have a few free minutes.
